I went to Sherwood Forest over the weekend in order to photograph the Major Oak, a 1,250 year old oak tree, and supposedly where Robin Hood and his band of merry men used to hide out. This is a photograph of me using the very scientific method of measuring the age of a tree by hugging it… each hug, about 1.5 metres, equals approximately 75 years.
