Unfortunately, as you can probally see from these photos, the ‘chlorophyll pictures’ didn’t quite work. I think if I had a more controlled environment in terms of light etc then I might be able to coax something out of them, but unfortunately I don’t, and I also am severely lacking in time so it looks like this is where they die for now! Oh well, on to the next idea…
I am a third year Photographic Arts student at the University of Westminster and as my final project I am attempting to build a carbon neutral pinhole camera as possible, that will hopefully produce a photograph that is also as carbon neutral as I can. Inspired by the environment, for the environment. This blog will be my outlet for documenting the progress of this task and will include step by step photographs as the camera is built, thoughts about how the project is progressing, any writings or influences emerging from my research and of course the resulting camera/photographs produced. Due to this blog being a digital medium I will also be keeping track of my carbon footprint. I am also looking to colaborate with designers/artists/scientists/engineers in order to complete this project so if you are interested or just want to offer advice/support/any general comments then please get in touch!
